Cold Judgment by ~Aphotik is an outstanding work with a brutally cold feel to it, set off by two adorable penguins. You can almost taste the atmosphere and feel the freezing temperature!

On the Day of Judgment,
Celestial bodies align
On the Day of Judgment,
Bitter cold replaces warmth
On the Day of Judgment,
Light brings, not salvation, but destruction
as life watches itself die
I just love penguins don't you?
Anyway, I'm really proud of this piece as it is the most realistic one I've created so far. I really tried to give the atmosphere a bleak frozen look, and the meteors I did my best to make them as realistic as possible. Three Terragen renders, a little snow and some Photoshop postwork and this is what you get.
